2nd Lt Thomas Norton is the Chief of Wing Intelligence at the 103d Operations Support Squadron, Bradley Air National Guard Base, Connecticut. He is responsible for the supervision of all Wing intelligence operations, programs, and training on behalf of the Wing Senior Intelligence Officer. The 103d Intelligence Section provides finished intelligence to the 118th Airlift Squadron, the 103d Airlift Wing, and the Connecticut National Guard. Lt Norton enlisted in the Connecticut Air National Guard in July 2016. He graduated from the All-Source Intelligence Apprentice Course in September 2017, after which he was assigned to the 103d Operations Support Squadron where he gained operational experience as an all-source intelligence craftsman and intelligence instructor/ evaluator. In February 2022 he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Intelligence Studies with a concentration in cyber and he will graduate with Master of Science in Cybersecurity in August 2024. Lt Norton graduated Total Force Officer Training School in May 2023 and assigned to the 103d Operations Support Squadron, where he was subsequently qualified as an Intelligence Officer in September 2023. Prior to his current position, he was the 103d Operations Support Squadron All-Source Intelligence Analysis NCOIC. As an All-Source Intelligence Analyst, Lt Norton deployed to Ali Al Salem AB, Kuwait in 2019 where he supported Operations INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM SENTINEL, and SPARTAN SHIELD. He has also provided intelligence support to the 2018 multinational Advanced Search and Rescue Exercise in Portugal, agile combat employment exercise Sentry Storm 2021, and Cyber Yankee Exercises 2021-‘24. During state response to the COVID-19 pandemic, he supported humanitarian operations as the Connecticut Joint Operations Center J2 Directorate NCO.
