Biography

Capt. Seth Johnson is a base chaplain at the 103d Airlift Wing, Bradley Air National Guard Base, Connecticut. He is assigned to the 103d Medical Group, Security Force Squadron, Operations Group, and Force Support Squadron. He serves as chaplain with an embedded Religious Support Team along with a Religious Affairs Airman providing spiritual care to airmen and offering spiritual, moral, ethical advisement to unit leadership. He also serves as event lead and facilitator for Strong Bond weekend retreats, facilitates smaller events, and coordinates the Domestic Operations responsibilities of the chaplain corps. Captain Johnson commissioned into the CT Air National Guard in February 2021. He completed Officer Training School November 2021 and the Basic Chaplain Course in February 2022. He graduated from Squadron Officer School December 2023 and Theory and Principles of Adult Education TPAE as a qualified instructor for SOS in August 2024. Stationed at Bradley Air National Guard Base in Connecticut he serves with the Chaplain Corps for the airmen of the 103 AW. He holds certifications in various curricula for marriage, family, and general relationship wellbeing. Prior to his commission he served as a pastor in Manchester, Connecticut for 20 years. He continues to serve as the chaplain for the Manchester police and fire departments
